Julie Thompson - Director of Development and Production

Julie Thompson is the bubbly blonde from Kentucky, and like the bourbon she’s contractually required to drink, she enjoys when people realize she’s got far more depth than they initially expected. A former actor, Julie studied film production at the University of Southern California before beginning her career as a producer and director of various shorts and commercials, with many playing and winning awards at various festivals such as the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Macabre Film Festival. As one does when passion projects leave the wallet flimsy, Julie took a temp job at a voiceover agency to tide her over, which then, of course, lasted 12 wonderful years. At SBV Talent, Julie worked her way up the ladder to take over as Agent for the Interactive Department for 7 years, representing hundreds of top-tier talent such as Laura Bailey, Jennifer Hale, Alix Wilton Regan, Travis Willingham, Liam O’Brien, Dee Bradley Baker and, notably, Robbie Daymond and Ray Chase. Those last two ne'er-do-wells somehow convinced her it was time to get back into the world of creative development and production that she loved, bringing her into the fold at Sassy Chap where she is excited to bring their vision to life. When she isn’t obsessing over her job, Julie can be found enjoying the clean air in Park City, Utah on family ski trips or salivating over sushi and Spanish tapas with her husband, Alex. Of course, no conversation with Julie can go five minutes without talking about her adorable but highly anxious puppy, Roxy, who is currently giving her dead eyes across the room demanding a walk, so it’s time for this bio to end.
